Meet the Sharkz Team!
Sharkz Coins is a team of dedicated graphics and customer service professionals, focused on producing challenge coins and uniform insignia that reflect our customer’s pride of service to their country and their communities. Chris and Helen Edley started the company in 2006 in their home in Victoria BC, on the West Coast of Canada. Since 2006, Sharkz Coins has grown and matured into Canada’s premier producer of challenge coins and police badges.
Helen
Helen manages the day-to-day business activities and customer service. She’s also our social media guru. Helen brings strong organizational skills to our team – you will benefit from this when you work with us!
Chris
Pretty well retired – Chris is a Royal Canadian Navy Veteran and a retired engineer. He is still a partner, and steps in to assist if things get crazy. But when things are not crazy, he can be found (or not found) traveling the world or on his and Helen’s boat.
Cynthia
Cynthia is our Operations Manager and the one making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. She works closely with the team to keep projects on track and clients happy. When she’s not keeping everything organized, you’ll find her spending time with family, playing board games, or relaxing with a good TV series. Originally from Chile, she also speaks Spanish.
Montana
Montana is currently on leave, but will be back in the fall as a senior manager. When she isn’t trotting about the globe to scope out tasty eats, you can (when she’s not on leave) find her working with our customer experience team to help bring your coin projects to life!
Diane
If you phone us, you’ll likely talk with Diane who also looks after our store, ships orders, and keeps our office stocked with a bowl of candy. Although a city girl now, Di will always be a country girl at heart.
Dixie
Dixie, is one of our senior product experts and brings a lifetime passion of art to the table. She is an accomplished watercolour artist and teacher and will use her expertise in colour theory and composition to guide your vision. Her passions include hiking, camping, drinking tea, and an occasional glass of port.
Kelsey
As our Production Coordinator and one of our Graphic Designers, Kelsey is a wizard in making your coin ideas become a reality! Known around the office as the geek culture expert, passions outside of work include video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and archery.
Carlos
Carlos is one of our graphic designers with over a decade of experience, specializing in impactful designs. A passionate visual artist, he also enjoys painting. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his daughter, sharing activities like video games and bonding moments.
Sarisha
As one of our talented Artists/Graphic Designers, Sarisha’s passion for art stretches across many mediums including pottery, welding, painting and of course… coins! She looks forward to working on your next project!
Emma
As one of our product experts, Emma provides insight and guidance to help turn your vision into amazing coins! With a deep passion for painting, pottery and tapestry weaving, she brings her creative spirit to everything she does. Outside of work, you can find Emma in the forest or at the beach!
Alex
Besides being a talented graphic designer Alex fulfills various creative roles at our office such as engraver, photographer, and marketer. When not in the office Alex is gaming, going for long walks, or listening to his favourite music.
Naomi
Naomi works as a product expert where she enjoys connecting with clients and helping turn their visions into reality! When not at work, she leads an active lifestyle, spending her time playing rugby, training in the gym, and going for runs. She also has a creative side and enjoys working with textiles.
Monique
Monique is another of our awesome graphic artists. She was one of our first employees, and currently works part-time on an as-needed basis. She likes to get up early in the morning so often works with clients located on the East coast (up to four time-zones away!).
Kenzie
Kenzie is actually our part-time office dog. She belongs to one of Helen’s boys (and his wife) who is a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. If they are away for a couple of days or a couple of months, then Kenzie joins the team and politely welcomes our office visitors.
